Cheating, Lying and Poor Communication

-Hello everyone , without much background, I have been married for 2 years . There has been a few problems in my marriage, from cheating and lying & poor communication . My husband has committed to do counseling to help us save this marriage (his idea) , but we have also been talking about having God more in our marriage . Marriage Counseling is covered by our insurance, so we can't do counseling with a pastor . My question is, has anybody used either of these books (or any other that you recommend) to help strengthen your marriage and save it from divorce ??

I am not ready to give up, and I have seen some change in him, we just need help "growing up". We have a 2 years old and we recently bought a home . So we are giving it one last try, please don't judge.)
