The Lake Union Wooden Boat Festival celebrates the history, the craft, and the culture of traditional wooden boats, large and small.

Festa Italiana is an all-volunteer community organization which produces an annual series of events the last week of September, culminating in a major Italian Festival at Seattle Center.

The world of twentieth-century abstract painting has traditionally been male-dominated but five women broke from tradition and dared to enter that world and propel a revolution in modern art.
